Ideas are messy. They get all over the ideas adjacent to them and they confuse and fade and come back. Some ideas have incredible staying power. Some ideas are like black holes and suck all the other ideas around them into the darkness of their gravity.

Some ideas are generous and multiple and split endlessly into smaller little baby ideas, some of which grow into big lumbering ideas while others die young. Importantly, many ideas exist at once.
